Gaming hardware brand Higround has teamed up with Esther Ng of lifestyle and fashion brand PRIX Workshop for a nostalgic collaboration on the keyboard.
The team joins the ongoing efforts of Higround founders Rustin Sotoodeh and Kha Lu to create unique and tasteful gaming peripherals that encourage self-expression. Sotoodeh said of the collaboration, “It’s the perfect time to show our dimensionality, as a product design studio beyond graphics.”
Ng, who founded PRIX Workshop in 2018, draws inspiration from his experience at YEEZY, as well as his passion for cars, retro video games, anime and more for his designs. Her label has quickly become a celebrity favorite, worn by names like Hailey Bieber, the Kardashians, Ariana Grande and more. The designer commented on her latest project: “I’ve always been intrigued by computer hardware and the interconnectedness of it all, ever since I’ve been building PCs I’ve wondered what it would be like to see everything working in its raw beauty all by being protected and as convenient as possible – I thought it was a shame that most companies hide these items to appeal to the mass market. Higround gave me the opportunity to share this thought with everyone with this new keyboard.
The co-branded product arrives in a translucent makeover, serving as a reference to childhood favorite PlayStation and Xbox game consoles. The design reveals the interior hardware while lighting up in a wide array of colors from pink and yellow to purple and red.
